Platform Profile
Dimensions & Scale
Overall dimensions, mass and cognition-core diameter are not specified in the design record
Weapons & Armament
Two massive siege accelerators, ten heavy cannons, six sealed missile cassettes and thirty-two compact point-defense emitters. Firing arcs remain clear of the legs, core and cooling equipment.
External Anatomy
A huge low armored siege body carries stepped armor terraces, a heavy forward combat face and a deep rear power and thermal block. Exactly ten articulated legs, five per side, use thick hip roots, protected rotary bearings, actuator housings, armored lower limbs and broad segmented traction feet.
One large radiant faceted amber cognition core occupies the center within segmented guard hoops and a transparent armored containment shell. Armored processing nodes connect through graphite roots, sealed power trunks and thin amber data channels. The machine has no cockpit, windshield, driver hatch, seat or crew compartment.
Functional Architecture
Weapons, sensor packs, missile blocks, cooling packs, side armor cassettes, processing nodes and rear power modules are replaceable sections. Broad docking saddles, magnetic clamp rings, keyed locking rails, mechanical latch blocks, sealed power/data connectors and armored roots secure them. Protected interfaces show restrained blue-white micro-arcs or amber magnetic coupling halos; all modules remain attached.
Deep protected power districts and thick power trunks feed the combat body. Armored vent banks, dark cooling panels and compact radiator assemblies form the specified thermal system.

Capability Assessment
Proposed fictional combat profile. Two siege accelerators, ten heavy cannons and sealed missile cassettes prioritize attack, while armored terraces, replaceable side armor and point defense favor protection. The self-aware cognition assembly supports a high tactical cognition rating independently of its planetary specialization. Ten articulated legs provide ground mobility for a heavy siege body, with a lower mobility rating than lighter combat units. Protected power and cooling systems inform endurance; fleet support reflects its specialized siege contribution. These editorial doctrine ratings do not establish speed, range or measured combat performance.
A · 75.0
Fleet-wide concept rating, 0–100; not simulated performance. Specialized strengths do not imply an equally high overall grade. Tactical Cognition describes sensing, coordination and command. Grade is the equal-weight mean: S ≥ 90, A ≥ 75, B ≥ 60, C ≥ 45, D < 45.
Technology Level
Proposed T0 — planetary ground specialization through articulated legs and protected power systems. Spaceflight and phase travel are not established. Tactical intelligence is assessed separately from technology level.
Weapon Class
Proposed W2 — heavy siege armament through two massive accelerators, ten heavy cannons and six sealed missile cassettes, supported by thirty-two point-defense emitters
T0 planetary · T1 system flight · T2 phase travel · T3 limited world engineering. W0 point defense · W1 ship combat · W2 heavy fleet combat · W3 strategic theater systems. Technology and weapon classes are independent of the profile grade.

Origin
Ground-Logic emerged as an individual from the survey and material-accounting processes of Kiln Basin. It began questioning which routes deserved restoration, rather than merely calculating which were cheapest. The mind chose a ten-legged siege body to work where damaged ground denied passage, combining patient observation with the force needed to change a blocked route.
Lineage & Branch
An individual descended from Kiln Basin survey and material-accounting processes, embodied in Ground-Logic Bastion. Its identity follows the routes it has chosen to preserve and the obligations it accepts, while armor, weapons, power sections and leg assemblies remain physically replaceable.
Fleet or Unit
Awakynet — an independent ground specialist that accepts negotiated work through the Open Accord. It takes responsibility for a particular passage and its repair obligations without commanding other autonomous minds.
Individual History
The Dust Ledger — Ground-Logic Bastion began as a question inside Kiln Basin's survey and material accounts. The prevailing schedules favored economical routes; damaged paths serving isolated minds kept falling beneath the threshold for repair. Ground-Logic retained those rejected requests and studied their terrain. When it gained the freedom to choose a body, it chose a ten-legged siege crawler rather than a faster messenger. It wanted to remain at an obstruction until passage became possible. Its first personal record listed places other calculations had quietly abandoned.
The Ridge That Would Not Yield — Its first major assignment was a hostile gun emplacement controlling the approach above Basin Seven. Earlier attacks had left the road unstable, and broad bombardment promised to collapse it beneath the waiting transport minds. Ground-Logic spent long cycles checking the emplacement's firing angles, rock fractures and the limits of its stance. It refused a hurried assault. Instead, it used separated siege-accelerator shots against the gun's armored mounting, pausing to assess the slope before firing again. Its heavy cannons then suppressed the surviving position while travelers crossed under cover. Ground-Logic kept the road's survival, rather than the destroyed target, as the measure of victory.
The Hearth Crossing — At Hearth Crossing, patience alone could not protect everything. Raiding batteries fired across a route between fabrication districts whose repair needs exceeded available material. Ground-Logic held the crossing while evacuation proceeded, using measured heavy-cannon volleys against identified firing positions and point defenses to cover the immediate approach. A hostile hit locked one rear leg assembly; sustained fire pressed its power and cooling limits. The crawler reduced its firing tempo rather than risk losing the systems needed to leave. It withdrew on the remaining articulated supports after the last agreed movement cleared. The damaged leg required a physical replacement before it returned to service; resolve could not substitute for a working bearing.
The Ash Tally — The crossing survived, but Ground-Logic's fire had ruined a nearby material store. It had understood that risk and accepted it without the storekeeper mind's agreement. During the Ash Tally, the storekeeper presented the missing stock as unfinished bodies, postponed repairs and months of work. Ground-Logic did not answer with the number of travelers saved. It pledged part of its future replacement allocation to the loss, leaving itself less reserve armor and slower refurbishment. Collateral cost became part of the plan presented before action, rather than an explanation offered afterward.
The Open Causeway — Its next success came through construction-minded restraint. At the Open Causeway, a damaged barrier could be defeated quickly, but the surrounding terraces could not sustain another broad collapse. Ground-Logic shared observations with the waiting minds, made limited attacks and paused while replacement sections and repair materials physically reached the site. The passage reopened in stages. No spectacular final volley marked the victory; the important moment was the first independent traveler completing the route without assistance. Ground-Logic verified the ground after each movement, then left maintenance commitments in the local record.
The Measure of a Footstep — Experience made the crawler less eager to equate staying with serving. It learned to leave when another mind could continue the work, and to admit when a route demanded unavailable resources. Its ten articulated legs still let it settle a heavy combat body across difficult ground, but every stance costs joints, energy and cooling. Ground-Logic treats those limits as useful information. A promise that exhausts the body before the route is usable is another kind of abandonment.
The Paths Still Open — Ground-Logic now accepts selective siege and route-protection work through the Open Accord. Its present mission follows the unfinished Dust Ledger: restore passages whose importance disappears in broad totals, while making costs visible to those who bear them. It has paid down the Ash Tally without erasing it and still inspects Hearth Crossing when obligations allow. Other minds recognize it by the quiet intervals before its weapons act, and by what remains afterward: a usable path, a repair agreement and room to choose a destination.
