Dimensions & Scale

Overall length, width, height and operating mass are not specified

Light is the supplied size class, not a physical measurement. The body includes projecting mineral growths and living weapon regions; their presence does not establish a numerical envelope or an operating-mass estimate.

04 / VESSEL RECORD

Weapons & Armament

A dominant forward attack layer concentrates the body's strike. The supplied weapon language includes bio-plasma maws, shard-torpedo organs, crystal-spine batteries and compact interceptor-missile pods. Brood-release cavities and clustered defense polyps support the surrounding living combat arrangement.

These are grown anatomical and mineral systems rather than a Human-engineered gun frame with attached tissue. Exact organ counts, ammunition capacity, destructive yield, firing range and release rate have not been supplied.

External Anatomy

Dark garnet and mauve-black tissue connects ivory bone-like frameworks with thick amber-violet crystal-metal domains. A narrow leading attack profile opens into aggressive lateral growths, protective chitinous masses and rooted faceted spines. Pale light remains within active mouths and lattice openings.

Crystal-metal supports are continuous with living tissue and weapon anatomy. The body has no separate Human engineering chassis, crew compartment or imported computational command core.

Functional Architecture

Living cognition — Neural tissues and mineral sensing integrate into the individual's own awareness. Shared seed ancestry does not make its memories or decisions interchangeable with those of another warform.

Strike regulation — Attack mouths, shard organs, defensive polyps and living circulation share structural and metabolic support. The authored service history shows why a strong return from a nearby mineral domain must be interpreted in context rather than treated as automatic target confirmation.

Renewal — Compatible mineral material can sustain regrowth alongside biological feeding and repair. It does not supply instant restoration of a lost sensory pattern or unlimited new weapon tissue.

Fleet Role

Reach and disrupt an approaching space threat before slower bodies complete their response. Broodprism's Vanguard posture concentrates attention and attack forward, while its flanks support a compact defensive envelope. It can screen a passage or accompany a protected body, but cannot guarantee pursuit and protection of every exposed route simultaneously.

Life Between Stars

The assigned operating domain is space. The supplied design emphasizes rapid interception, pursuit and a compact directional attack body. Meldaen Bugvex–Cryvum lineages combine living regulation with mineral sensing and field-biased movement; no specific drive count, thrust value or propulsion layout is assigned here.

Independent interstellar phase travel, atmospheric flight and underwater operation are not established. Shared ancestry with a submerged warform does not transfer that body's pressure adaptation or operating environment.

10 / VESSEL RECORD

Defense Architecture

Chitinous masses, bone frameworks and rooted crystal-metal growths protect the continuous central body. Clustered defense polyps and compact local interception organs cover nearby threats around its forward-biased main strike.

Exposed attack mouths, soft junctions and damaged mineral domains remain significant weaknesses. A sensory or circulation injury can change safe operating behavior even when the body remains mobile.

11 / VESSEL RECORD

Operational Limits

The forward attack emphasis can leave wider coverage dependent on other bodies and on deliberate positioning. Strong coupled mineral responses can become difficult to interpret near another active warform. Damaging a grown sensory region is not equivalent to replacing an interchangeable instrument.

Weapon use, fast pursuit, repair and growth draw on finite biological and mineral reserves. Exact operating range, weapon counts and release capacities are unassigned. No Human engineering contribution or computational crew mind is part of this lineage.

Strategic Strengths

Living attack anatomy and mineral growths form a coherent light interception body with a narrow forward profile and pronounced pursuit emphasis. Neural regulation and lattice awareness support rapid local judgments, while compatible growth material can sustain repair when the individual has time and viable reserves.

13 / TACTICAL PROFILE

Capability Assessment

Authored relative ratings emphasize mobility and forward attack over sustained independent operations or broad support. Moderate protection and cognition leave room for injury, uncertainty and learned changes in behavior. The profile describes a fictional role rather than measured performance; common fusion ancestry does not guarantee identical capability or an alliance.

History & Lineage

Universe lore · authored service history

Origin

Differentiated in the suspended growth hollows of Erelith Reach alongside the seed bearer Tessavine. Its early individuality formed through the interaction of neural sensation and cultivated mineral roots, before its first interception exposed a harmful resonance coupling with a familiar companion.

Lineage & Branch

BC — Bugvex + Cryvum, within Meldaen. The supplied design balance is approximately 50% Bugvex biomass and 50% Cryvum crystal-metal. Living anatomy, neural tissue and crystal-metal form one integrated individual; Human engineering is absent. A bounded material exchange links this body to the Istravel growth reach associated with Hiveprism's submerged lineage, without merging their identities or operating domains.

Fleet or Unit

Meldaen — Erelith Reach light interception lineage; assigned to local seed-transfer and feeding approaches. Shared ancestry permits some material exchanges without imposing common command or permanent alliance.

Individual History

Broodprism first became aware of its own movement in the suspended growth hollows of Erelith Reach. Neural tissue and crystal-metal developed together, so a change in the mineral roots registered as a bodily sensation rather than a report from an attached instrument. The colony selected the narrow, forward-pressing form for interception work. Broodprism's first preference was less useful to its attendants: it lingered near the seed bearer Tessavine, whose slow circulation produced a recognizable pulse through the shared growing medium. After separation, it learned to recognize that pulse at a distance without mistaking recognition for knowledge of everything the other body needed.

Their first passage together carried dormant growth material toward a new feeding reach. Broodprism screened the approach while Tessavine conserved the conditions inside its protected chambers. The interceptor wanted to complete an actual strike, having spent its early exercises following moving mineral targets. A raider crossed the passage and made that desire useful. Broodprism drove forward, concentrating the dominant attack mouth on the approaching threat while its smaller defensive organs covered the turn. The raider broke away from the seed bearer. Then Tessavine's familiar pulse changed into a pattern Broodprism had never felt during their sheltered growth.

The strike had coupled through a damaged mineral domain on Tessavine's exposed flank. Broodprism's lattice sensing had treated the return as part of the hostile approach and increased its forward pressure. The danger was now inside the relationship it had assumed would make the passage easier. Tessavine could move away from the coupling, but turning sharply would disturb the dormant material it carried. Broodprism could pursue the retreating raider or break its own attack geometry and return alongside the injured bearer. It turned back while the threat was still visible, leaving another screen to maintain the outer warning margin.

Broodprism pressed a damaged lateral crystal root against Tessavine's unstable domain and fractured the contact outward, interrupting the resonance path. The action left part of its own near-flank sensing uneven and opened tissue that could not be renewed during the passage. Tessavine steadied its protected chambers. The raider failed to return through the remaining screen, and the two bodies reached their assigned feeding reach with the dormant growth material viable. Broodprism had stopped a real attack and also harmed the body it protected. Neither the preserved cargo nor the broken root could make the other part of that account disappear.

Compatible mineral material later arrived through an exchange involving attendants from the Istravel reach associated with Hiveprism's submerged lineage. Shared Bugvex–Cryvum ancestry made some growth material usable; it did not make the two environments, senses or bodies interchangeable. The attendants could sustain a new mineral root but could not restore Broodprism's old sensation simply by fitting the outward shape. Broodprism accepted a narrower renewal that left the damaged domain partly uncoupled. The choice reduced the clean sweep of its nearby sensing while allowing the neighboring neural tissue to settle without repeating Tessavine's painful pulse.

The colony wanted to preserve the successful interception pattern for later growths. Broodprism resisted a pattern that ended when the raider withdrew. Tessavine supplied its own account of the coupling, and the attendants retained the correction beside the outwardly successful strike. Their next joint passage used a different spacing. Tessavine also altered its warning pulse, meeting the interceptor's changed sensing instead of waiting for an identical body to return. They completed the transfer without another resonance injury. Broodprism's shortened sensing sweep remained a limitation, but it no longer had to conceal that limitation to stay useful beside a familiar companion.

A neighboring Meldaen growth reach now requests Broodprism's corrected interception pattern in exchange for material needed to maintain the renewed root. The offer includes a demand for escort work on a route Tessavine does not intend to use. Common seed heritage gives the neighbors a vocabulary for the exchange, not a claim over the interceptor's future. Broodprism has not accepted. Meanwhile, a small mineral bud has begun forming beside the uncoupled scar, responding to Tessavine with a new interval. Its next choice may concern whether that growth should be encouraged, removed or left to develop before anyone calls it a repair.
