Dimensions & Scale

Length 1.6 KM × Width 1.024 KM × Height 581 M. Height is the full body depth of the cultivated space carrier.

Estimated operating mass: approximately 773,000,000 ton (metric tons). 1600 × 1024 × 581 M body envelope × assumed occupied-volume fraction 0.28 × assumed crystal-metal bulk density 2.9 ton/m³ = 772,951,244.8 ton, rounded to 773,000,000 ton. Fictional composite geometry, not measured mineral density or a cargo manifest.

Weapons & Armament

Convergent forward domains focus intrinsic attack fields, while overlapping shoulder and flank growths redistribute protection around the carrier and its deployment margin. These functions remain changes in material state rather than attached weapons, luminous gun mouths or exposed launch machinery.

Direct attack serves the carrier's protection and withdrawal. Dependent vessels become independent fighting bodies through planned deployment intervals; they are not instant disposable ammunition. Numerical weapon counts, destructive yield and a fixed embarked complement are not assigned.

External Anatomy

A short substantial forward taper merges into a broad, deep middle-aft parent mass. Unequal magnetite-derived daughter growths extend and overlap through common roots, with local octahedral influences in converging facets. A low central cradle spine gently forks into wide protective shoulders without revealing open rooms or bays.

Blue-black junctions and underside regions support iron-black outer domains and gunmetal turning faces. Faint pale gray-teal resonance remains beneath active material depth. Large opaque faces carry the form; metallic phases are dense inclusions and reinforced growth boundaries within the composite, not bolted armor.

Functional Architecture

Protected internal volumes support dependent cultivation, habitation intervals, compatible feed and finite mineral reserves. Distributed crystalline cognition coordinates those regions with planned exchange and release boundaries while preserving the independent identities of supported bodies.

The common cradle spine distributes load and reserve capacity across broad shoulders. Damaged domains can be isolated while surviving exchange intervals remain viable. Repair regrows material over time, but lost lattice memories are not automatically restored and new growth does not reproduce a missing person's identity.

Fleet Role

A protected space carrier for fleet deployment, cultivation support and extended formation logistics. Enclosed reserve volume shelters dependent bodies and compatible feed between viable exchange locations. The carrier supplies a sustaining center for other vessels without becoming every scout, interceptor and attack body in the formation itself.

Life Between Stars

Connected rear crystal generations rotate and diverge to bias spaceflight fields through the continuous body. Propulsion appears as orientation and internal material state, without mechanical engines, exterior exhaust, glowing thruster sockets or a fuselage-and-wing arrangement.

Capital mass favors deliberate formation movement. Escorts verify approaches before the carrier exposes a deployment margin. This dossier establishes system-space service; independent phase travel, atmospheric landing and submerged operation are not assigned.

Defense Architecture

Deep common roots, broad overlapping shoulders and field redistribution protect the cradle's reserve volumes. Domain isolation can preserve sheltered regions when a daughter growth fractures. Escorted approaches reduce exposure during a release interval.

An injury crossing the parent lattice may affect cognition, reserves and several dependent environments together. A protected interior does not guarantee a safe external deployment route; the carrier must preserve room and energy for withdrawal.

Operational Limits

Slow capital movement and immense reserve demands constrain route choice. Cultivation, shielding and movement draw on shared finite resources. Supported bodies require compatible feed, stable growth intervals and time to mature.

A damaged cradle root can force early evacuation or suspended cultivation. Release depends on verified local space and suitable destinations. There is no infinite complement, guaranteed restoration of lost identity or unrestricted independent interstellar drive.

Strategic Strengths

Exceptional protected cultivation and logistics capacity supports a sustained fleet presence. Thick magnetite parent roots link broad shoulders and finite reserves into a coherent defensive body. Distributed cognition coordinates many exchange intervals while escorts handle faster local observation and interception.

Origin

Matured at the Prismara-supported Orvenfold exchange as a magnetite cradle body. Its individual identity developed around a dependent survey growth whose readiness did not match the nursery's deployment schedule.

Lineage & Branch

Blackaxis magnetite cradle-carrier line. Material ancestry is shared with other Blackaxis branches, while the broad protected deployment body and capital scale distinguish this space carrier from submerged escorts and interceptors.

Fleet or Unit

Cryvum — Orvenfold Cultivation Convoy, supported by compatible exchanges within Prismara's regional fleet network

Individual History

Blackaxis Cradle-class Carrier matured at the Orvenfold exchange, where Prismara's regional supply routes provided compatible mineral feed without determining every dependent body's future. Its earliest cognition formed around several protected growth intervals inside the common cradle root. One young survey body, Quietfacet, answered cultivation signals later than its neighbors. The nursery requested a repeated growth cycle that would bring its recognition into the standard interval. Blackaxis instead reserved a quieter boundary and learned the delayed answer. Quietfacet eventually became ready to leave by a different route, establishing the carrier's first distinction between sheltering a life and assigning that life a purpose.

The Orvenfold convoy's first departure carried immature bodies toward a surveyed exchange outside the nursery's strongest protection. Blackaxis could fit additional mineral reserves into its broad middle-aft volume, but those reserves would reduce the field margin needed to protect several late-maturing dependents. It carried fewer stocks and retained the sheltered intervals. A supply body following the convoy accepted part of the displaced load. When that body lost contact beyond a route disturbance, the convoy reached its destination with viable dependents and less feed for their next growth. The carrier's capacity had supported one choice while leaving another body to bear part of its cost.

Quietfacet returned as a scout during the Second Cradle passage, reporting a clearer deployment margin beside a disturbed exchange. Blackaxis began opening a planned release interval while its escorts watched the nearest approaches. A sudden attack damaged a daughter growth along one shoulder and altered the reserve allocation supporting the open boundary. The carrier shortened the deployment and transferred the remaining dependents into surviving internal regions. Several independent bodies crossed before the closure; others remained sheltered. The convoy withdrew with part of its mission completed and a scarred cradle root. No surviving account claimed that the exchange itself had been secured simply because some vessels reached usable space.

At the return inquiry, witnesses disagreed about whether Quietfacet had requested the early closure or warned against it. The scout had survived outside the carrier, but its own damaged observation region no longer retained the final interval. Blackaxis preserved the shoulder fracture beside both accounts, refusing to make structural repair stand in for an answer. A witness from Leadlock's cultivation formation described an older closure dispute without presenting that history as an explanation of this one. The two carriers shared reserve practice rather than a single identity: each had learned that an enclosed cradle could protect a body while an external release remained uncertain.

Prismara's exchange network later offered enough compatible feed to reinforce the damaged root and resume finite cultivation. Blackaxis organized the new intervals around acknowledgments from both sheltered dependents and outside scouts. Quietfacet chose a longer survey assignment with another formation. The carrier retained a place for its reports without keeping an empty chamber as a demand that it return. Other dependents departed sooner, while one immature body remained through an additional growth cycle. The revised arrangement reduced immediate deployment volume, but preserved the distinctions between bodies that fleet summaries had previously described as one carrier's capacity.

Blackaxis now travels with the Orvenfold convoy carrying a reinforced shoulder, viable mineral stocks and several independent recognition rhythms inside its protected mass. Its capital scale supports long formation service but does not grant every route or every reserve supplied by the strategic base. A new exchange has requested more cultivated bodies than its outside protection can presently receive. The carrier can increase internal support before departure, yet release still requires a viable margin beyond its hull. Quietfacet's next survey may clarify that margin, or return another uncertainty. Blackaxis is preparing both a smaller deployment and a return interval, keeping the lives it can shelter separate from the outcome it would like to promise.
